Emile Francois Keller born in BELFORT 1850- any other information?

I know that Emile F Keller's parents are John Keller and Josephine Birli, both of Germany. But that is all.

Emile is my great grandfather. I am visiting the area soon and would appreciate any information available.

Yes Emile Francois Keller was born in Belfort France, he is my ancestor as well. I have been trying to find more information about Emile's parents, (John Keller and Josephine Birli), but have had no luck. I have been trying to find more information specifically about the Birli side, in particular. I know there were some Birli's that lived in Lorrach, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany around the 1830's, not to far from Belforte France. But any information or help with research would be great!
