Great-great-great grandfather's birth record

Henry Geissler immigrated from Alsace-Lorraine in 1857 to New York and then settled in New Orleans. My records show that he was born in 1832, 1833, or 1834 in Alsace. I don't have any additional information about his Geissler family line: his birth date, his parents names, any siblings.
