I am looking for some information about august pfister from Alsace province. He emigrated to the U.S.A. around 1900

Hi Howard,

There are some Pfisters all over Alsace, so you have your work cut out for you.

One area is in Northern Alsace about the same level as Strasbourg, but on the western side of the region.

I've also seen this last name in the Germanic part of Switzerland.

Perhaps that could give you a starting point for your research.

Although the hard part will be verifying a link between other Pfisters and your family.
