John Micheal Yoho

I am looking for the parents of John Micheal Yoho (joho) born 1678 in Sulzthal, Lorraine, Alsace, France. He also died in France but I am doing the geneology on my family and cannot locate information on his parents. If you have any information on him it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Donna,

You should have found some info about his parents in his birth, marriage and death certificates. Well, it's not guaranteed, but I often find that information about the parents in these documents.

Of course any documents from the 1600s are going to likely be church records, which are hit or miss as they were not legally required for everyone to have.

If you have to read through Catholic priests' Latin chickenscratch, I really feel for you ; )

Hopefully they were protestant and the records were written in German or French chickenscratch hahaha.
