This year in the international competition for the best sparkling wines in the world...

There are THREE sparkling wines from Alsace in the top ten (and only two champagnes).

In 2010 Xavier Muller in Marlenheim placed #5 of all sparkling wine in the world.

Xavier Muller is a small wine producer in Alsace who produces only 4000 bottles of sparkling wine a year (crémant d'Alsace).

You may have a hard time finding his award winning wines outside of France, so now you have one more reason to visit Alsace...

And especially Marlenheim and the Couronne d'Or in northern Alsace (just half an hour from Strasbourg).
