Starck family of Haguenau & Riedseltz

My grandfather was Charles/Karl Starck/Stark born in Haguenau in 1885. His brother Francois Otto was born in 1888.

They came to America as young men. However, they had a sister, Madeleine Starck, born 1884. I don't know what became of her.

Their parents were Jacques Starck & Christine Hahn. Originally from Riedseltz, they moved to Haguenau about 1845. Trying to track down Madeleine Starck, born 1884 Haguenau.

Hi Eugenie,

Have you tried looking in the Haguenau records? Or maybe Riedseltz records? They are likely in one of the surrounding villages or Haguenau.

Of course the records will likely be written in German and handwritten German has a very different lettering than English.

So it's not easily to read even if you can read German.

But the records are likely in that area unless they were destroyed accidentally by fire or during a war which does happen sometimes.
