Where to stay?

I have found suitable gites in central positions in the following places:

Kaysersberg
Barr
Obernai
Colmar and
Selestat

We like a good selection of restaurants in places of character but which are not too noisy or busy in the evenings. We are visiting at the beginning of June.

Could you offer your opinion as to which place to stay in of those listed please?

Which Village Should I Stay in?

Hi Pauline,

If you want a quiet village experience, Barr will be your best choice, because it's quiet and not touristy.

If you're willing to put up with noice, the other choices will do.

The more tourists, the more noise.

Villages in general will be less noisy unless they are considered "top destinations" in Alsace.

And keep in mind that the "top destinations" in Alsace aren't always better than other destinations. They have just been promoted more than others.
